Tune in this week to PBS SoCal’s Real Orange, weekdays at 5 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., to see Voice of OC Editor-in-Chief Norberto Santana Jr. talk about the latest news about politics and government in Orange County.
This week’s topics include looking into the county’s problems digging up a five-acre flood control basin they filled after the 1994 bankruptcy, county Supervisor Shawn Nelson’s concerns about high-speed rail projections, the high cost of public records requests in Anaheim and the future of the Santora Building in downtown Santa Ana.
Tune in to PBS SoCal at 1 p.m. today to catch Voice of OC reporter Nick Gerda chat with SoCal Insider’s Rick Reiff about the recent issues at the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station.
A minor leak in January has forced the shutdown of San Onofre while the cause is investigated and has generated concern from several residents, environmental organizations and elected officials.
Also appearing on the SoCal Insider show are Richard McPherson, an executive with energy and defense contractor DownRange Global Solutions, and Gary Headrick, founder of the environmental group San Clemente Green.
The broadcast repeats Friday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 11:30 a.m. A channel lineup for PBS SoCal (KOCE-TV) can be found here.
