Santa Ana, CA – National Nurses United (NNU) and the California Nurses Association came together today to endorse Garden Grove Mayor Bao Nguyen in his bid for Congress.  NNU is the nation’s largest organization of registered nurses, giving Nguyen a significant boost in support from a key constituency who also want to see healthcare, worker’s rights, and women’s rights expanded. “California’s registered nurses are proud to endorse Garden Grove Mayor Bao Nguyen, a former substitute teacher, community organizer, and school board member who has made serving the public interest his priority,” said Shella Soriano, RN, and a local leader of the California Nurses Association/National Nurses United.  “For demanding improved Medicare for all, advocating for school funding, ensuring accountable government, and pushing back on corporations that put our community and our environment at risk, Bao has demonstrated that he will be a champion for the people of Orange County – our jobs, our families, and our health.”

Mayor Nguyen was thankful, and said he’ll continue to fight for healthcare and health workers.
