INITIATIVE GIVES VOTERS A VOICE
Costa Mesa First ballot measure gives residents control of their future
(COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA) – February 18, 2016 – Costa Mesa First announced that its “Initiative to Require Voter Approval on Certain Development Projects,” also known as the “Smart Growth Initiative,” is one step closer to being on the 2016 ballot. The Registrar of Voters has verified that the number of signatures required to qualify the initiative to be the ballot has been obtained. Residents, concerned about how new development is impacting their lives, realized this is an opportunity to have City officials listen to their concerns.

SMART GROWTH INITIATIVE MOVES FORWARD 
(COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA) – January 4, 2016 – It was announced today that signatures have been presented to Costa Mesa City Clerk, Brenda Green. The signatures will be delivered within five days to the Registrar of Voters for official certification. Costa Mesa voters, unhappy with developers’ control of their city, rallied around Costa Mesa First’s initiative.
