County Votes to Make Dog Beach Official
Paving the way for Orange County’s first dog park
(Huntington Beach, CA) –The first hurdle to making the commonly known “Dog Beach” an official, and the first, County dog park has been cleared. The Orange County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to approve an amendment, proposed by Vice Chair Michelle Steel, to the County’s leash law that would exempt the small area of county land sandwiched between the cities of Newport Beach and Huntington Beach. During the discussion, Board of Supervisors Vice Chair Steel said “it’s common sense. This area is already a dog park.
