Carlos Lopez Named Vice President of Academic Affairs at Santa Ana College
(Santa Ana, CA)—Rancho Santiago Community College District has appointed Carlos L. Lopez as vice president of academic affairs at Santa Ana College. In this leadership role, Lopez serves as the college’s chief instructional officer. His overall responsibilities include all aspects of academic programs and instructional support services, professional development, class scheduling, instructional budgets, allocation of instructional services, library services, student learning outcomes, distance education, planning and accreditation.

Santa Ana College Continues 100th Birthday Celebration with Campus-Wide Open House and Alumni Luncheon

WHAT:           Santa Ana College will hold its first-ever campus-wide open house and expo tied to the college’s 100th birthday featuring campus tours including a “History & Culture through Art: The Murals of Santa Ana College,” career exhibits, college financial aid and pre-enrollment guidance, visual and performing arts performances, student fashion show, raffles, local food trucks and over 30 exhibitors. Live demonstrations and presentations include 3-D animation, live 2-D tile mural design, biotechnology, global business and entrepreneurship, digital music, television/video and kinesiology. An Alumni Luncheon and Reunion with live entertainment will be held on campus during the festivities.

Santa Ana College’s faculty members and professional artists Sandra de la Loza, Phil Marquez, Gina Osterloh, Juliana Rico and Angelica Vasquez will present a photo and video exhibit to mark the beginning of a year-long art showcase celebrating Santa Ana College’s 20th year at the Santora Building in the Downtown Santa Ana Artists Village. Art historian and adjunct faculty member at Santa Ana College Heather Dale Walker is the exhibit’s guest curator. WHAT:
The photography exhibit will include over 50 original pieces by Santa Ana College faculty artists ranging from mid-career to recent grad students.
