Regional Leaders Weigh In on Costa Mesa Outsourcing

Last Wednesday local GOP Chairman Scott Baugh held up Costa
Mesa’s plan to drastically cut its workforce as an example for
others to follow. A city employee’s suicide the following day has
made that a far more complicated proposal.

‘Everything About it Was Hasty’

While done in the name of good business, Costa Mesa’s mass
layoff notification violated basic principals that the corporate
world has developed for handling layoffs, experts say.
