Supervisors Spitzer and Do: Reward Those Who Helped in Apprehension of Jail Escapees
(Orange County, CA) – Supervisors Todd Spitzer and Andrew Do directed the County to present rewards to those who helped with the capture of escaped inmates Hossein Nayeri, Jonathan Tieu and Bac Duong. Now in custody, the inmates had escaped from the Central Men’s Jail in Santa Ana. The Agenda Staff Report prepared by Spitzer and Do, filed today, states that Matthew Charles Hay-Chapman provided specific information to law enforcement that directly led to the immediate apprehension of escaped inmates Hossein Nayeri and Jonathan Tieu and that he is therefore lawfully entitled to collect the reward for their capture.
