The Tustin City Council voted Tuesday to have council members contribute $25 toward meals served during closed session.

As I reported earlier, Councilwoman Deborah Gavello said she had been having trouble getting the meals issue on the agenda.

But it made the agenda Tuesday. And the vote means the cost of the meals, which according to an agenda report from the city manager is $348 a month, will be reduced by $2,750 annually.

The vote was 4-1, with Gavello casting the only no vote.
