Voice of OC heads into the 2021 year with thousands of readers supporting our nonprofit model and admiring dogged reporting.

While 2020 threw plenty of punches — a disastrous pandemic, blazing wildfires and economic collapse — more Orange County people have seen and come to fund our local news agency.

Voice of OC was founded in 2009 by Norberto Santana, Jr. with the belief that news rooted in the community and focused most on local government is essential for a healthy democracy. And that such an operation could be built on the funding support of local people.

The astounding success of our 2020 year-end fundraiser shows that our readers believe in and support our work. We couldn’t be more grateful.

The year ahead looks to continue to be a challenge on our governments, businesses and families. But know that Voice of OC’s team will continue to be here for you.

Our reporters, photographers and editors work day and night to bring you real-time stories focused on quality of life issues.

If you haven’t yet, consider joining us today with a monthly donation.
