Our Town photo 003 Tappan Wilder

In 1995, at the age of 55, Tappan Wilder became the executor of his world-famous uncle’s vast literary estate, which includes full-length and one-act plays, novels, essays, letters and collections. As this year marks the 125th anniversary of playwright and novelist Thornton Wilder’s birth, that occasion is being recognized with at least 150 productions of his plays worldwide and a slew of special commemorative events of which Tappan Wilder will be an active participant.
