Gov. Jerry Brown has reappointed Lucy Dunn, head of the Orange County Business Council, to a seat on the 11-member California Transportation Commission, the governor’s office announced Thursday.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger first appointed the 59-year-old Republican to the commission in 2008. Her reappointment requires confirmation by the state Senate. The pay is $100 per meeting attended.

Before becoming CEO of the Business Council, Dunn was director of the California Department of Housing and Community Development from 2004 to 2005, according to the announcement.

Dunn is also a member of the Voice of OC Community Editorial Board and on the board of directors of the Lennar Charitable Housing Foundation and the Association of California Cities-Orange County.
