The Fountain Valley City Council generally meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month.

MEETING TIME: The council’s regular meeting begins at 6 p.m. Before the meeting, there is usually a closed session and/or study session portion, usually beginning around 5 p.m.

PUBLIC COMMENT: Commenters must complete a speaker card and give it to the city clerk prior to the public comment period, which is held at the beginning of the meeting. Comments are limited to three minutes per speaker.
Residents can also give comments via Zoom by joining the link listed on the corresponding meeting’s agenda. In order to make a public comment, Zoom attendees will indicate through the chat feature which item they would like to speak on and click on the “raise hand” icon to let the administrator know they wish to speak. Comments can also be emailed to the city clerk prior to the meeting at Rick.Miller@fountainvalley.org.
