Los Alamitos City Council Meeting

The Los Alamitos City Council generally meets on the third Monday of each month.

This meeting schedule can change, particularly in months with national holidays, so be sure to check the status of a meeting at the agenda link below. Make sure to check the agency’s website also for the latest protocols on in-person and/or virtual attendance.

The agenda for all meetings is prepared by the city clerk’s office and made available online at least 72 hours before any regularly scheduled meeting.


MEETING TIME: The council’s regular meeting typically begins at 6 p.m. The closed session portion of the meeting is held at the end of the regular meeting time.

MEETING LOCATION: 3191 Katella Ave., Los Alamitos, CA 90720. 

Residents can watch meetings live online or on local cable channel 3.

PUBLIC COMMENT: Residents may submit comments on any agenda item or on any item not on the agenda by email to cityclerk@cityoflosalamitos.org with the subject line “COUNCIL PUBLIC COMMENT.” Comments received by 3 p.m. the day of the meeting will be compiled, provided to the city council and made available to the public before the start of the meeting. Staff will not read email comments at the meeting. 

Speakers can also give comment in person during the meeting. Comments are limited to five minutes per speaker.
