The San Clemente City Council generally meets on the first and third Tuesdays of each month.
This meeting schedule can change, particularly in months with national holidays, so be sure to check the status of a meeting at the agenda link below. Make sure to check the agency’s website also for the latest protocols on in-person and/or virtual attendance.

MEETING TIME: The council’s open session typically begins at 6 p.m. If there are any closed session items, that portion of the meeting usually begins at 5 p.m.
MEETING LOCATION: 100 Avenida Presidio San Clemente, CA 92672.
Residents are invited to view the meeting live from the City’s YouTube channel or on Cox Communications Local Access Channel 854. Meetings are rebroadcast the following Saturday at 12 p.m. and on Thursdays at 2 p.m.
PUBLIC COMMENT: Residents can submit written comments by emailing CityClerk@san-clemente.org. It is recommended that comments be sent by 4 p.m. on meeting days. Comments must indicate by item title or number the agenda item to which they apply or indicate that they are to be read during the general “oral communications” portion of the meeting.
Commenters can also speak to the council in person at the meeting. Speakers may address the council once during either oral communications Part 1 or Part 2. A total time limitation of 30 minutes is allocated for oral communications Part 1, with each speaker being allotted three minutes in which to give his or her presentation. Speaker order is determined by the order in which speaker cards are provided to the city clerk at the meeting
