A record 80 people have died “without fixed abode” in Santa Ana in the first 10 months of 2021 with two months to go. Last year for the whole year there were 67. During this year, the City of Santa Ana has shuttered its homeless shelters, not yet gotten a replacement online and has dumped dozens of its homeless into the Fullerton Navigation Center dozens of miles away. And yet, its solution has been to try to “make an example” of the Centro Cultural de Mexico for not enthusiastically expelling the 40 homeless people who had taken refuge there from its property. Shame, evil, evil shame.
