The County’s Do-Nothing Strategy about the OC Homeless Crisis is a broad public policy failure in action.

I worked at the Civic Center for almost 20 years and the dangerous situation became more and more difficult to witness and experience. I can’t believe they did NOTHING but administrative reports for 20 years!

I know the homeowners around the riverbed pushed for the removal but where are going to go next? I say camp out by the BOS gated communities.

How about the county homeless Czar order by decree that the homeless be relocated to a distant county government controlled Gulag….100% forced employment w/benefits, problem solved…it worked really well for Stalin…. 🙂

It has been said many a time before and more eloquently than me, but we must accept that there is a certain percentage of our population that will always need support.

The Master -Slave economic reality that is happening in OC does not address this issue.

They were not born there. They were not teleported there. They then should return to wince they came. How is it people can plop where ever they feel like it, bringing crime, drugs, trash and that is ok. Sure it is sad they are somebody’s kid, sibling, relative. That is why the families need to step it up and take care of them.If they refuse then the state should place them and charge the family. If they are mentally not with it then they need to be housed in a mental hospital. Think people when you were a kid was this an issue???No. Family took care of crazy uncle John. They did not let him live in gutter. Now it is who cares the state will take care of him. No good. It does not work.

Mental illness is not bound by State boundaries. If you haven’t had this experience yet…”…how wilt thou say to thy brother: Let me pull the mote out of thine eye-and behold, a beam is in thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast the mote out of the brother’s eye.”
