Fullerton Police Chief David Hendricks quit the Police Department Friday morning, while under investigation by the District Attorney’s office for an alleged fight at a concert in Irvine Aug. 24.
The Fullerton Police Department is facing at least two controversies: its police chief is on paid leave after an alleged fight at a late August concert and, separately, a former sergeant was charged with falsifying a 2016 police report.
David Hendricks, a 24-year veteran of the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD), is the new Fullerton chief of police, a position that hadn’t had a permanent chief for the past eight months.
