Mr. Gq
Mr. Gq is a 5-year-old domestic shorthair cat who has been at OC Animal Care in Tustin for about a month after he was returned by a previous adopter. An animal shelter volunteer said he is a sweet and loving pet.
He’s currently available for adoption. During July, cat and kitten adoption fees are reduced to $100 on weekdays as part of a monthly promotion.

Minnie
Minnie has been at the shelter for about two months after she was confiscated from a previous owner. Staff notations say she’s been working on breaking out of her shell, but she can get overwhelmed easily.
Descriptions also recommend short interactions with Minnie when getting to know her at first. She becomes much more comfortable around people with time, notations say, and she would be best suited for a home with respectful children over 13 years old.

About 200 Cats and Kittens Looking For Homes
OC Animal Care currently has just around 200 cats and kittens available for adoption at their location in Tustin.
As Orange County heats up, more kittens are being born on the street — a time commonly referred to as “kitten season.”
To get more cats adopted, the weekly Sittin’ With Kittens event has returned every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Tustin shelter.
At this weekly adoption event, visitors can meet multiple litters of kittens that were formerly in foster care and now ready for adoption. No appointment is needed.
The shelter is also running a July cat and kitten promotion. Until the end of the month, cat and kitten adoption fees are reduced to $100 on weekdays.
OC Animal Care also hosts a drive-thru pet food pantry on the second Saturday of each month to provide resources to pet owners in the community. All pet owners in need of pet food are welcome at tomorrow’s event from 8 to 10 a.m.
OC Animal Care, the county-run animal shelter in Tustin, is open daily for adoption visits from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. During this time, visitors can freely walk through the kennel areas to view the available animals.
