OC Animal Care is hosting an adoption event at the Tustin shelter on Aug. 15 as part of “Clear the Shelters” month.

The event will feature resource booths and kittens available for adoption. Each dog adoption will also receive a cargo liner while supplies last. The shelter is also currently giving out free Disney-themed pet items like collars and clothing.

For the whole month, adoption fees are waived for dogs 25 pounds and over. At next weekend’s event, adoption fees will be half-price for cats, kittens, rabbits and all other dogs that don’t already have their fees waived, including puppies and small dogs.

OC Animal Care, the county-run animal shelter in Tustin, is open daily for adoption visits from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. During this time, visitors can freely walk through the kennel areas to view the available animals.
