County of Orange Invites Public Input on 2026 Strategic Financial Plan

Santa Ana, Calif. (September 8, 2026) – The County Budget & Finance Office invites residents to provide input on the upcoming 2026 Strategic Financial Plan (SFP).

The Five-Year Strategic Financial Plan is part of the County’s long-term financial planning process and evaluates competing needs, forecasts future costs and develops funding recommendations. Community input is a critical part of this process. It helps the County understand which services residents value most, identify emerging priorities and shape future investments based on community needs.

Residents can review previous SFP materials and the current Fiscal Year 2026-27 Annual Budget to learn more about the County’s major initiatives, emerging priorities and associated funding needs.

Public comments for the upcoming 2026 Strategic Financial Plan are open through September 20, 2026. Residents can submit input online at cfo.oc.gov/public-feedback

Learn More About the County’s Budget and Financial Planning

As part of the “Let’s Talk Budget: Orange You Ready?” campaign, the County Budget & Finance Office has developed a new two-part educational video series to help residents learn more about the planning that goes into developing the County budget each year. The videos are available in English, Spanish and Vietnamese and can be viewed on the County’s YouTube playlist and social media account.

Information about additional opportunities for engagement, including public workshops, is available at cfo.oc.gov/public-workshop.

Your Input Today. Our Community. Our Commitment.
