Have you adopted a shelter animal because of Voice of OC’s weekly Pets of the Week article? We’d love to hear from you. Contact Angelina Hicks at ahicks@voiceofoc.org or admin@voiceofoc.org to share your experience.

In honor of November’s Adopt a Senior Pet Month, OC Animal Care in Tustin is rolling out special adoption discounts for dogs and cats five years and older.

Until the end of the month, all senior pets have a $50 adoption fee for the shelter’s “Love is Ageless” promotion.

“Most senior pets end up at the shelter through no fault of their own, and many of them were once someone’s faithful companion,” reads the shelter’s website. “Love is ageless here at OC Animal Care and we’re hoping many will open their hearts and homes to a sassy or sweet senior pet!”

During November, all dogs 25 pounds and up will have adoption fees waived every day, regardless of age. The shelter is also offering $50 Whisker Wednesdays for cats and kittens — on Wednesdays only, all felines can be adopted for $50.
