A host of new bills signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom aims to prevent people from modifying e-bikes to reach higher speeds and require e-bikes to attach a rear red reflector or light. This comes after more than half of OC’s cities adopted ordinances to regulate e-bikes amid complaints from residents and local officials about city streets becoming less safe.
