Santa Ana Police Chief Paul Walters, who at one point was considered a viable challenger to Orange County Sheriff Sandra Hutchens, is now endorsing Hutchens, Red County is reporting.

The post notes that Walters came in second to Hutchens when the county supervisors voted for a replacement to finish former Sheriff Mike Carona’s term.
