AirTalk host Larry Mantle hosted a debate on NPR radio station KPCC Monday about email retention policies. The discussion followed Voice of OC stories on orders by Anaheim officials to purge emails and other correspondence.

Memos ordering destruction of city records were sent just after Voice of OC filed a request under the California Public Records Act for communications between Anaheim City Council members and various city departments.

CalAware general counsel and open-government advocate Terry Francke joined Costa Mesa City Councilman Jim Righeimer for the discussion.
