Buena Park officials are also exploring options for single-member district elections, after a city-commissioned report showed racially polarized voting in the city.

At their meeting Tuesday evening, the council is likely to approve a $30,000 contract with National Demographics Corporation to draw up options for voting districts and create a public outreach and implementation plan for transitioning to district elections.
