The US Department of Veterans Affairs is holding a 2-Day Veterans Economic Communities Initiative Policy Academy in Orange County on September 29-30 at the Hilton Orange County/Costa Mesa.

This is a unique opportunity for members of the OCVMFC and others with an interest in design and quality of programs and services serving Orange County’s veterans and their families.

Join the Department of Veterans Affairs as it launches the first in a series of “Policy Academies” around the nation in collaboration with national and community partners across industries and sectors.

The VA’s Policy Academies offer interactive training on national philanthropic and community-based best practices best practices as well as open dialogue on the current economic landscape for Veterans; emerging data on recent programs and tools; and the impact and challenges of national, Veteran-focused collaborative partnerships.

Highlights of the upcoming Policy Academy on September 29-30 in Costa Mesa will include:
Leading companies, service organizations and community leaders sharing new and innovative approaches to better meeting the needs of Veterans.

Case studies of organizations that are using data to better understand the Veteran economic landscape.

Analysis from top philanthropic leaders on national trends in Veteran-focused services and grant-making.

The event will also include briefings from VA’s Transition Assistance Program. There is no cost for attending.
