The only reason Rackauckas filed the 14 behested payment reports was because he was questioned by the Board of Supervisors in a public hearing about his failure to file them. Rackauckas ignores the law — nothing new here.

    • LFOldTimer

Tell the Ethics Commission to get right on this, Shirley.

Why is the Executive Director Denah Hoard so silent? She was hired in March – 4 months ago. I haven’t heard a peep from her. What’s she doing to earn her money? T-Rack should be her first investigation.

Oh wait. I forgot. The BoS makes those decisions. My bad.

  • David Resendez

Since lawless Rackauckas can’t do the big things right (e.g. prosecute alleged criminals without violating their constitutional rights), I don’t expect him to pay much heed to reporting requirements. He’s lowered the stature of the DA nearly as much as Trump has done to the Presidency. And, if Spitzer replaces lawless Rackauckas, we end up in the same boat

    • LFOldTimer

      You’ve got it completely wrong.

Trump is restoring rule of law and fighting corruption in America.

Rackauckas is eviscerating rule of law and promoting corruption in OC.

      • David Resendez

Clap trap on; ignoring the ignorant.

        • LFOldTimer

          I know.

          I make too much sense.

          • justanon

            “I don’t watch CNN.”

That’s more than obvious from your fact-free commentary.

You poor little trumpster snowflakes having to always plug your ears and cover your eyes lest you find out something less than flattering about your Dear Leader.

Unfortunately for you delicate flowers, it’s only going to get worse from here on out. What ever will you do when trump and his minions are found guilty of treason? Oh well, Fox ‘News’ probably won’t cover it so you can pretend it isn’t happening, like all his other un-presidential behavior.

Ignorance is bliss, just keep chanting “fake news, fake news, fake news”, ha, ha, ha!

          • LFOldTimer

            Claptrap on ignore.

            Nothing follows…………..

Can you believe how gullible these trump-chumps are?

One of the first things trump did was eschew ethics training for his staff and surprise, surprise they’re violating ethics rules left and right.
From promoting trump’s businesses on Govt. websites, to “omitting” and lying on Security Clearance forms, to issuing more ethics waivers in his first few months than Obama did in 8 years.

“One of the White House waivers, covering the entire Executive Office of the President, is explicitly retroactive to Inauguration Day, violating the legal principle that underlies issuing waivers in the first place. “A retroactive waiver is as strong a suggestion of guilt as you can get; if you need a retroactive waiver, you’ve violated a rule,” said Walter Shaub Jr., director of the ethics office.”

On top of lobbyists and corporate insiders peopling the White House and the very agencies set up to police them, there is all of trump’s emolument violations. Less than six months in and he’s being sued by CREW.

“The watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, or CREW, filed a lawsuit alleging that Trump’s business holdings violate the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution, which makes it illegal for government officials to “accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.””

But these rubes think the mountain of evidence piling up around trump over his ethics violations is some how “fake news”.

Ha, ha, ha, they need to learn a lesson from trump university.

It didn’t take long for the anarchist chimp (or was that chump) justadiaperboy to add their two pesos worth of complete nonsense and ignorance…ignored as usual (note: apologies to all the actual chimps out there reading this for the offensive reference) 🙂

    • verifiedsane

      D. Resendez, placed on ignore for their display of complete ignorance…..

  • Ed Romero

So What, it’s only $190,000’s Dollars. I remember this Alcoholic Probation Department Employee that drop her DRINK in a Computer and set the building on FIRE. That cost the O C Taxpayers over a MILLION DOLLARS in damages, entire building was closed down, all the Employees sent home. Did they FIRE her NO, they promoted her. All she had to do was go into that Asst. Chief Probation Officers Office and DROP her Panties and all was forgive, AT THE EXPENSE of the O C Taxpayers.

  • LFOldTimer

    Where’s the new “Ethics Commission”?

    Why no investigation?

    Too close to home?

Are the long-ball hitter County Republicans in public safety off-limits?

    • justanon

They just appointed the first of five members 8 days ago ( a story by the way, that you read and commented on, so ignorance is no excuse ), but of course your ONLY interest is in sliming and smearing and the truth and facts be-d*mned.

      • LFOldTimer

        Claptrap on ignore.

        Nothing follows…………

        • justanon

You can put me on pretend “ignore”, but it won’t change the FACTS.

justadiaperboy is nothing more than a hate spewing antifa anarchist stalker….no one gives any credence to anything they write…The moron might as well be talking to a mirror…. 🙂

          • justanon

            “they write” ???

Wow, I’m multiplying. Your worst nightmare, bwa ha ha!!!!

  • Ben Parkin

Rackauckas is so dirty. Why does anyone believe these lies? He plays fast and loose with the rules but he keeps getting caught. Congrats to Shirley and Spitzer for calling the DA out on this. Isnt the DA supposed to be held to the highest standard and understand the law better than anyone else?

Rackauckas donors beware, looks like anyone who gives him money will likely get a phone call from the FPPC.

  • Charlotte Banks

How on God’s green earth can the County District Attorney not know the rules regarding donations made at his request for his non-profit? Once again he’s either incompetent or corrupt… possibly both. The FPPC should do its job and levy fines on Rackauckas. How can he be in charge of enforcing the law when he doesn’t even know the law? By the way, does any of this even pass the smell test? The donations of tens of thousands of dollars are coming from his friends and political benefactors? What the hell is going on in the DA’s office?

    • Robert Unetic

Because he is the DA. Who is going to prosecute this?
