Once again, San Clemente finds itself down a councilmember. Gene James abruptly resigned two weeks ago, creating another vacancy on the City Council. The Council has 60 days to appoint a member or it will go to a Special Election in March 2024. San Clemente is a city with a bright future, but currently faces a myriad of challenges. We should learn from our past mistakes, come together, and appoint a bipartisan coalition-builder who will help get overcome these challenges for our residents.
