Tuesday’s voting shows incumbents retaining their City Council seats in Newport Beach, with newcomer Rush Hill winning in District 3. Newport Beach voters elect council members by district. There were four district seats up for grabs, but only two were being challenged.

Edward Reno faced off against Rush Hill in District 3; Hill had 54.9 percent of the vote as of Thursday morning, and Reno had 45.1 percent. Mark Tabbert (37.7 percent) lost handily to longtime Councilwoman Leslie Daigle (62.3 percent) in District 4.

Mike Henn in District 1 and Nancy Gardner in District 6 ran unopposed.
