Last week, Voice of OC’s article detailing Peter Herzog’s controversial resignation in Lake Forest resonated throughout the county, with observers expressing concerns about what it says about today’s politics.

Herzog lamented that the council majority has been bought and paid for and that small-town politics has gone the way of Sacramento and Washington, D.C.

While some reader comments were very supportive of Herzog’s position, others called him a hypocrite, saying he benefited from the very same tactics for years.

Rick Reiff or our media partner PBS SoCaL sat down with Herzog and conservative commentator Jon Fleischman last week for a fascinating discussion on the issue.
