Statewide Endorsement Reflects Correa’s Soaring Momentum
SANTA ANA, CA— Reflecting his dynamic and growing support, today former State Senator Lou Correa won a highly sought-after endorsement from the California Small Business Association (CSBA) in his campaign to represent California’s 46th Congressional District seat. Correa was previously recognized as the small business legislator of the decade.
In announcing their support of former Senator Correa, California Small Business Association’s President Betty Jo Toccoli stated:
“California’s Small Business Association is pleased to endorse former State Senator Lou Correa for Congress. As a local and state leader, Lou has built up a strong relationship with our grassroots small business organization. He’s worked hard to develop solutions to help keep California’s small businesses competitive and thriving, so that we can create more good jobs and grow our economy. We know he’ll make an outstanding Congressman on behalf of California’s small businesses and families.”
The CSBA is a non-partisan, small business advocacy organization founded by the 1980 California small business delegates to the White House Conference on Small Business. They are a non-profit whose mission is to provide a voice for small businesses and stimulate the creation of jobs and the economy of California.
Significantly, former State Senator Lou Correa has built up a commanding lead in the battle to secure important endorsements, stemming from his roll out of the following influential backers:
Congressional Hispanic Caucus Chair and Congresswoman Linda Sánchez
Congresswoman & former State Assembly Speaker Karen Bass
Congressman Juan Vargas
California’s State Treasurer John Chiang
California’s Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson
California State Senate President Pro-Tem Kevin de León
California Board of Equalization Chair Jerome Horton
Building Our Leadership Diversity (BOLD) PAC
Former State Senator, current Los Angeles City Councilman Gil Cedillo
Correa served in the California State Senate, representing the 34th District, from 2006- 2014 and served the cities of Anaheim, Buena Park, Fullerton, Garden Grove, Santa Ana, Stanton and Westminster. Prior to the Senate, he served on the Orange County Board of Supervisors representing the 1st District. Before his time on the Board, Correa served in the California State Assembly representing the 69th District.
