Fullerton City Hall Closed in Observance of Veterans Day
Fullerton, CA – Fullerton City Hall will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 11, in observance of the Veterans Day holiday. City Hall will be open on Monday and Tuesday, November 9 and 10 and will reopen at 7 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12.
The Fullerton Main Library, 353 W. Commonwealth Ave., will also be closed on the 11th.
The Main Library’s normal operating hours are 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday; Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and open on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. -5:00 p.m.
The administrative offices at Fullerton Municipal Airport will be closed Nov. 11; however, airport operations will proceed as usual, and the Air Traffic Control Tower will be open that day.
The Fullerton Museum Center, 301 N. Pomona Ave., will be open Nov. 11.
MG Disposal Systems, the city’s trash contractor, will not observe the holiday, and will make trash collections on the 11th.
The 28th Annual Fullerton Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony will be held Nov. 11. The parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the Downtown Plaza, located on Wilshire Avenue, east of Harbor Boulevard and adjacent to the Fullerton Museum Center, and end at Hillcrest Park at the intersection of Harbor and Valley View Drive.
Once at Hillcrest, a ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. at the veterans memorials. All veterans are welcome to join in the parade. Participants are asked to arrive at the plaza no earlier than 10 a.m. To participate, veterans must be able to march in regular cadence for approximately three-quarters of a mile.
No banners other than the flags carried by the JROTC units will be allowed in the parade.
