The California School Employees Association Chapter 121 back Walter Muneton for Garden Grove School Board

Garden Grove, Calif. – The California School Employees Association Chapter 121 has endorsed Walter Muneton for Garden Grove School Board, Trustee Area 3.

The California School Employees Association Chapter 121 represents more than 1,100 school support staff that are employed in the Garden Grove Unified School District. CSEA members perform a wide range of essential work in our public schools including food services, clerical workers, school maintenance & operations, transportation, and para-educator services.

“CSEA Chapter 121 is proudly endorsing Walter Muneton as our Area 3 School Board candidate. The majority of our members not only work, but live and raise families in Garden Grove, so like Walter, we have a deep-seated interest in the success of our schools,” said Chris Leon, President of CSEA 121. “Walter will bring unique insight and vision to the Board, in a way that only a lifelong community member and legacy of our school district could.”

“I am very grateful to have received the endorsement of the hardworking men and woman that make up the California School Employees Association,” said Walter. “I look forward in working with all of our stakeholders to ensure we provide the best education our public school system has to offer.”

Today’s announcement follows recent endorsements from the Orange County Employees Association, Unite Here Local 11 and Garden Grove Unified School Board President Dr. George West.

Walter was born and raised in Garden Grove, and is a product of Garden Grove Unified School District after having graduated from Santiago High School. For the past 5 years, Walter has been working as a youth mentor, case manager, and Director at the Boys and Girls Club of Garden Grove, providing access to critical health, diversion, and education programs to students and their families.

Walter lives with his wife, Yesenia, in Garden Grove. They both attended all the schools that pertain to Garden Grove’s School Board Trustee Area 3, which covers portions of Garden Grove and Santa Ana.
