American Federation Of State County And Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Local 3090 Endorses Rickk Montoya For Garden Grove City Council District 6

Garden Grove, CA    American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Local 3090 today announced their endorsement of Rickk Montoya for Garden Grove City Council District 6.

“We enthusiastically endorse Rickk Montoya for Garden Grove City Council District 6,” stated AFSCME Local 3090 President Alice Goff. “Rickk is committed to public service, as demonstrated by his military background and the work he does in and on behalf of the community. It is our belief that our AFSCME Brother Rickk will bring energy, commitment and experience to this position.”

The American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Local 3090 represent approximately 5000 workers in Southern California. AFSCME represents nurses, childcare providers, EMTs, sanitation workers, city staff and emergency support employees.

“I am honored to receive the endorsement from AFSCME Local 3090,” Montoya said. “I look forward to advocating to bring in jobs and new economic opportunities for working families across District 6. Garden Grove residents can count on me to be focused every day on improving our neighborhoods and being a voice for our community.”

The AFSCME Local 3090 endorsement demonstrates Rickk Montoya’s commitment to supporting those who provide vital city services. Rickk will continue to support these valued members of our community in order to keep our streets safe and clean.

Rickk Montoya was raised in the same East Garden Grove community where he and his wife currently own a home and raise their children. He attended Woodbury Elementary, Doig Intermediate and graduated from Santiago High School. He also spent over 10 years serving in the United States Army.
