Garden Grove Unified School District Trustee Teri Rocco Endorses Rickk Montoya For Garden Grove City Council District 6

Garden Grove, CA             Garden Grove Unified School District Trustee Teri Rocco today announced her Endorsement of Rickk Montoya for Garden Grove City Council District 6.

“I’m delighted to endorse Rickk Montoya for Garden Grove City Council,” said Trustee Rocco. “Rickk is a strong pillar in his community and has innovative ideas to continue improving the city of Garden Grove. I know that Rickk will serve his constituents diligently and ensure that they will be a part of the decision-making process.”

Trustee Teri Rocco was appointed to the Garden Grove Unified School District Board of Education in 2015 and has been a longtime Garden Grove resident. Prior to her appointment, Trustee Rocco was a teacher and administrator within GGUSD with over 40 years of classroom and leadership experience. Garden Grove Unified School District serves most of Garden Grove and portions of Anaheim, Cypress, Fountain Valley, Santa Ana, Stanton, and Westminster.

“I am honored to receive this endorsement from Trustee Rocco,” Montoya said. “I’m looking forward to working with Teri as well as the entire GGUSD School Board in order to best represent Garden Grove residents.

Rickk Montoya will work with Garden Grove schools to solidify dual-use agreements, which would allow community members to use the open spaces on campuses after school hours.

“Families thrive when they feel safe in their neighborhood and have access to parks within their own community,” Montoya concluded. “If elected, neighborhood improvement and safety will be my highest priorities.”

Rickk Montoya was raised in the same East Garden Grove community where he and his wife currently own a home and raise their children. He attended Woodbury Elementary, Doig Intermediate and graduated from Santiago High School. He also spent over 10 years serving in the United States Army. He currently works as a 911 Dispatcher with the Los Angeles Police Department. Rickk also serves the City of Garden Grove as the Chair of the Parks, Recreation & Arts Commission.
