Roman: Developer’s Sweet Deal in Classic Road to Nowhere Project and YLWD $110,000 Expense

The Yorba Linda Water District has approved a controversial easement allowing a developer to pave a 100-year-old access road for private use, costing the district over $110,000. Despite the road being deemed sound, concerns about increased liability and transparency issues have emerged, particularly regarding Director Brett Barbre’s support for measures favoring the developer at public expense. This case bears all the hallmarks of a classic “Road to Nowhere” project.
