Steinmetz: Westminster School District Needs Fair Representation for All Parents
Westminster resident Claudia Steinmetz, who is also PTA President for a local school in the Westminster School District writes that school board members are letting parents and kids down in District Two by not holding an election this year. Steinmetz charges that the move is all about protecting incumbents, not getting better education or representation. She wants parents to join her speaking out at the next school board meeting on Jan. 18.

State officials have designated the last two full weeks in April and September as High School Voter Education Weeks to encourage getting kids pre-registered to vote as early as age 16.
