Members take part in transportation-related discussions and projects with their peers and OCTA staff

ORANGE – Eighteen high school students have been selected to serve on the Orange County Transportation Authority’s 2015-16 Teen Council, which held its first meeting this month.

Teen Council members take part in transportation-related discussions and projects with their peers and OCTA staff. Members provide insight into public transportation issues, and work together to make a positive contribution toward public transportation in Orange County.

The 2014-15 Teen Council, for example, provided key feedback that helped OCTA craft its “De-Zombify Yourself” summer youth bus pass campaign.

Teen Council selection is competitive; members serve for one year. The group meets once a month during the regular school year, from September to August.

Listed here are the names and cities of residence for 2015-16 Teen Council members.
