SAN JOSE – The California School Employees Association (CSEA), AFL-CIO, has endorsed Democratic candidate Sukhee Kang in the Senate District 29 race. The district is at the confluence of Orange, Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties. CSEA, formed in 1927, is the largest classified school-employees union in the United States,   representing more than 215,000 school support staff throughout California.

Former Orange County Supervisor Chairman, Anaheim City Council Member Are Latest Opinion Leaders To Join OUSD Candidate’s Rapidly Growing Endorsers List For March 1, 2016 Special Election
 
ORANGE — A national children’s advocate and former Orange County Supervisor is the latest opinion leader to endorse Andrea Yamasaki’s bid to fill a vacant Orange Unified School District (OUSD) Board of Trustees seat in the Tuesday, March 1, 2016 All Mail Special Election here. William G. Steiner, founding director of Orangewood Children’s Home, former chairman of the Orange County Board of Supervisors, former Orange City Council Member and former OUSD Board Member has endorsed Andrea Yamasaki because he wants our children and grandchildren now attending OUSD public schools to get a first-rate education. “That means the Board of Trustees must be comprised of leaders like Andrea Yamasaki who will work with parents, teachers and students to ensure a 21st Century education for all of our children.”

Yamasaki, whose three children have attended OUSD schools since kindergarten, has dedicated more than 15,000 hours in volunteer service to OUSD families, served as President/Executive Board Member for several PTAs and held leadership positions on several advisory councils, according to Steiner.
