Santa Ana Unified School District Superintendent Stefanie P. Phillips reports that students in Santa Ana have achieved a significant increase of 11.5% in graduation rates over the last seven years, surpassing the State and County average with 91.6% of the District’s high school seniors graduating with their diploma and a direct pathway to college.

OCTA Offers Youth Summer Pass for Half Price    
Youth can ride June 1 through Aug. 31 for $20 per month, 50 percent off the regular fare
ORANGE – The Orange County Transportation Authority is encouraging youth to explore their community this summer by getting out and visiting Orange County’s many attractions using the discounted OCTA Youth Summer Pass. For the past 16 years, OCTA has provided a summer bus pass for those 18 and younger as part of a youth ridership program.

Santa Ana, CA (May 23, 2017) — On April 18, 2017, the Orange County Veterans Service Office and the Veterans Legal Institute received a grant award in the amount of $40,000 from the State of California Department of Veterans Affairs. The money will be used to develop a new monthly, free legal clinic at the Orange County Veterans Service Office which is located at 1300 S. Grand, Ave. Room 247, Santa Ana, Ca 92705.

County of Orange Seeking Ethics Commissioners
Santa Ana, CA (May 23, 2017) — The Orange County Board of Supervisors is now accepting applications for commissioners for the County’s Campaign Finance and Ethics Commission. The Commission will consist of five appointed members, one appointment by each Supervisor. Commissioners shall serve terms up to three years and may not serve more than two full terms.
