Tyler Diep Drops to 3rd Place, Second OC Republican Assemblyman Who Could Sit Out November Election

Assemblyman Tyler Diep (R-Westminster) could join Assemblyman Bill Brough (R-Dana Point) on the elections sidelines this fall, after Diep lost his second place spot Wednesday.

Assemblymen Tyler Diep and Bill Brough could be sitting out the November General Election after Diep was barely holding on to second place by 17 votes, according to Tuesday’s updated election results from the OC Registrar of Voters. Brough, who’s far behind in fourth place in the 73rd district, seems unlikely to catch up.

Brough has reportedly withdrawn his request for a re-election endorsement from the OCGOP after several women, including Orange County Supervisor Lisa Bartlett, come forward to complain about harassment.
